Local golfer Blaine Weiterman  won the Club championship at The Cascades in Tyler;  the Meadowbrook Classic at Kilgore; and on July 17th he played in the Texas State Open Pro-Am. He shot under par each day to be the Low Amateur of the entire tournament.  There were approximately 150 players and after the scores were in from Thursday and Friday, only the top 50 advanced on to play Saturday and Sunday.  Weiterman was top amateur, awarded a trophy and automatic entry into next year’s Texas State Open. (Contributed phot0)
