Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to pat Beets and his crew that planned, staged and executed the July 4th fireworks show this year. If anyone has had experience in presenting this type of public display they know the effort and the hours that are spent prior to this show.
For the past five years pat has dedicated his time on the Fourth of July so that Overton could boast a fireworks show that measures second to none in East Texas.
When you meet people that travel from the surrounding cities due to word of mouth regarding the beauty of Overton’s fireworks, or you sit and listen to the crowd explode with enthusiasm as the colors burst in full bloom over the lake, then you know that things have been done well
To pat beets and all those that diligently worked beside you, thank you for making the 2010 July 4tth celebration one that was enjoyed by many.
